Our school has been in existence for some 40 years. Now all of a sudden they have started the asbestos abatement project. Is this a good idea? I mean, is it good to disturb the ceilings and walls to let off the asbestos into the air? After all, it has been 40 years; if they do harm, harm is alreayd done, what's the good to start removing NOW causing more dusts?
Classes are still in session right in the building! They are working on 5th floor, but there are classes and offices active every day on 4th floor and below. Stairwells is open from 5th floor to other floors. There are also vents on ceilings of 4th floor, which probably let in the dusts from 5th floor?! They are working at the same time when classes are going on.
