There are two walls, maybe three, that i would like to take down but i have a feeling that they walls have asbestos. I have not had the walls tested but i am almost sure they do since the house was built around 1920. The walls are about 15x8. Does anyone know the cost per square foot? Two are none bearing and one is (i do not know if i am taking down the bearing wall).
Correct, i do understand that asbestos is dangerous only when it is airborne, but the kitchen is so small that i would like to combine it with the dining room.
From what i have read most houses built before the 1950's had asbestos in them. Articles i have read say plaster walls are know to have asbestos, so i am figuring that there is asbestos in the plaster walls (worst case scenario). I want to know an amount to see if it is actually worth doing what i want to do. If its to expensive then i don't even want to test the walls. Let me know
